2016 Sol De Agosto

A very limited edition of our estate Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Cabernet Franc from our 41 year old vines. The label features the artwork of Oaxacan artist Fernando Olivera (1962-2018). 

The bouquet is intense and layered, offering a symphony of aromas. Initial notes of ripe blackberries and cassis from the Cabernet Sauvignon mingle with the subtle herbaceousness and floral nuances characteristic of Cabernet Franc. Hints of cedar, vanilla, and toasted oak from the French barrels add depth and complexity, while a touch of graphite underscores its structure.

Thanks to the maturity of the 40-year-old vines, this blend boasts a remarkable depth and structure. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides a solid backbone with its firm tannins and ample body, while the Cabernet Franc imparts a vibrant acidity and finesse. Together, they create a wine of great elegance and longevity, capable of aging gracefully for many years to come.
